01-Chidambaram - Sri Govindaraja Perumal Temple :- Govindaraja Perumal temple   is revered as one of the 108 Divya Desam Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu .The Govindaraja Perumal temple is located in Chidambaram, Tamil nadu. The temple is one of the 108 Divya desams dedicated to the Hindu God Vishnu. The temple is built in the Dravidian style of architecture. The temple is also a major shrine to the Hindu God Shiva.

The temple has been renovated many a times by the Cholas, Vijayanagras, Cheras and the Pallava royals in the ancient and medieval periods. There are 6 daily rituals and two major annual festivals held at the temple.The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Legend of Sri Govindaraja Perumal Temple According to legends, the mountain Chitrakoodamalai in North India was the place where Lord Rama once had been. When Lord Rama was sent along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman to exile, he found a place in South India that reminded him of the mountain in the north. He named that place Chitrakoodam and stayed there during his exile. That is how Chitrakoodam got its name.

According to legend, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati once decided to have a dance duel. Lord Shiva asked Lord Brahma to judge their duel at thiruvaalankaadu. Unable to make a decision about the winner, Lord Brahma asked them to seek Lord Vishnu’s help. Lord Vishnu asked them to duel in Chitrakoodam. When Lord Shiva started dancing, his earring fell off.

Lord Vishnu felt that now Lord Shiva would lose and was about to declare Goddess Parvati as the winner. However, Lord Shiva picked up the earring and put it back on with his feet and continued dancing. This greatly impressed Lord Vishnu and Goddess Parvati. Goddess Parvati conceded defeat and Lord Vishnu declared Lord Shiva as the winner.

02 Thiruvaheendrapuram Sri Deyva Nayaga Perumal Temple :- Sri Deyva Nayaga Perumal Temple is one of the 108 Divya Desam Temple  dedicated to Lord Vishnu ,  It is believed that Lord Narayana married Goddess Lakshmi Devi , she emgered out of  Thiruparkadal, which is supposedly located in this temple. As all the devas , rishis (celestial body ) came in a group to this place, this place is named as Thiru devanar thogai. This is situated on the banks of the river Manni. It is believed that by having a darshan  of  Lord Perumal, unmarried persons get married soon  and childless couples get the boon of child birth. It is also believed that this place is fully graced by the great celestial falls. Hence the shadow of the Vimaanam falls within the range of the Vimaanam (temple tower) itself.
This temple represent the union  of the devotees of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.

In the temple, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi appear in the marriage pose,the Vimaanam and Pushkarani are named Shobana Vimaanam and Shobana Pushkarani respectively. Also this is place of  homage to the celertial persons and the pushkarani isalso named as Devashaba Pushkarani. Among the Saptha rishis, Vashista, who is the son of the Lord Brahma, is considered as the top –ranking person. So Lord Deiva Nayagan gave dharsan to this great Rishi as young married couple. The idols of Thaayar and Perumal are of small size only. Though it is a  Vishnu temple, there is a burial ground, the favorite  place of Lord Shiva, in the backyard of this temple.
 
03-Thirukkoviloor- Sri Thiruvikrama Perumal Temple Sri Thiruvikrama Swamy Temple  is one of the 108 Divya Desam Temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu , which are dedicated to Lord Vishnu in South Arcot district, 2 miles from Thirukuviloor, Tamil Nadu. The temple can also be reached from the Pondicherry-Bangalore route and the Chitoor-Trichy_Cuddalore route. Sri Thiruvikrama Swamy Temple is situated on the shore of the Thenpennai river. Both the Saivam and Vaishnavam castes are treated as one. Hence, this village has been built without any racism. The Alwar of the temple has always taken care of this fact. The village is one of the 5 KrishnaranyaKshetrams, temples devoted to Lord Krishna. The other 4 are Thirukannankudi, Thirukkannapuram, Thirrukkannanmangai and Kabisthalam.
